mystery author child book      Liz Shore lives northeast of Atlanta in Buford, Georgia, with her husband David Bowman and golden retriever Luckie.  Their five talented sons live, work, and/or go to college all across the southeast.

As a teacher, Mrs. Shore-Bowman recognized a need for wholesome books that would not only inspire her students to read but also to learn about the world around them.  This led her to write A Key Keepers Mystery: The Game Begins, the first book in the series of Key Keepers Mysteries, which will take readers all over the United States as her characters try to solve the mystery of Uncle Jack's lost treasure.

The author grew up in Kissimmee, Florida, the youngest of three sisters, where you could often find her perched in trees reading Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew books.  Since mysteries were her childhood favorites, it was only natural that she would want to write in that genre.  She also played piano, sang in various church ensembles, and enjoyed acting in school plays until she graduated from Osceola High School in 1976.

After graduating from the University of South Carolina in 1980 with a B.A. in English, she started her family.  When the boys entered school, she returned to the University of Central Florida and received a M.A. in Elementary Education.  In 1997 she moved to Tennessee, where she resided until her recent move to Georgia in 2006.  She has taught elementary school in Florida, Tennessee, & Georgia, and is currently facilitating reading & writing workshops for homeschoolers.

Her interests now include collecting video, photographs, and oral histories of her family.  It may be worth noting that the portrait on the front cover of A Key Keepers Mystery: The Game Begins is actually a photograph of her father in Italy during WWII.  The photograph of "The One" is her mother, and her parents are the couple in the snapshot in chapter 16.

Mrs. Shore-Bowman loves to travel and hopes to visit all the places that the characters in her books do.
